Introduction to using VBA for MS Word, with conditional HTML insertion as the example.


Recently it ocurred to me that I was wasting valuable writing time manually inserting HTML tags into Word. I like Word as an HTML (text mode) editor, and as a programmer, I was sure that adding some macros and buttons could help me save some time, and maybe even learn a thing or two.

I could purchase an HTML editor, of course, but I really like Word because it integrates nicely with my other Office applications, and has a better than everyone else dictionary. And a thesaurus. And many other options that I like. So, I'm keeping it, even if it's HTML editing is lousy.

At least, now that I have learned a bit of macro programming, I can insert my own tags. Learn with me...
